Osean Maritime Defense Force Strike Fighter Squadron 112 was established at NAS Meridian on 26 May 1982 following the formal adoption of the F/A-18 ‘Hornet’ into the Maritime Defense Force’s air component. VFA-112 was to be one of the first operational F/A-18 Hornet squadrons within Osea and would be a successor unit to the famed F-14 Tomcat squadron, the VF-12 ‘Knights’. Taking half of the Knights Tomcat pilots, the Paladins were formed with the same initial heritage and customs as their fighter squadron brothers. Within six months of formal establishment, the first transition class of Tomcat pilots had gotten the VFA-112’s carrier qualification aboard the OFS Kingfisher. The Paladins would not earn their battle colors until 1993 in an event known as the “January Fifth Incident” which pit two F/A-18’s from the Paladins against four F-5N believed to be from Sotoa, during freedom of navigation exercises aboard the OFS Shepard.
Today the Paladins are currently serving alongside their Tomcat ‘Knight’ brothers once again as apart of the Carrier Air Wing of the OFS Vulture.

This is not intended as a replica of an Ace Combat squadron within the lore.
instead it is a Remaster of an older skin I did. This time the UV's actually fit, the pilots wear nicer patches and they even have custom helmets!
