Declaring independence from the eastern union it was a protectorate of in the early 1990s, the Republic of Adygea is a small Mediterranean Island nation of twenty million people. With its chief exports being that of Agriculture, tourism and as a major Western trade port into the East, Adygea serves as a major hub and crossroads in the region.
Their government has moved away from the eastern style rule towards a more western three branch form of rule, with an Executive, judicial and parliamentary branch which has caused some turbulence with their eastern influenced neighbors.
To Defend their borders and interest, the Adygean Government has three primary military services, that of the Air Force, Ground Self Defense Force and Navy.
The Air Force is one of their largest branches following a major influx of aircraft gifted to them by the west, now hosting three squadrons of F-16C “Fighting Falcon” multi-role fighters. As well, the AAF operates three E-2D “Hawkeye” Airborne Early Warning aircraft, older eastern Mi-8 “Hip” Helicopters for their airlift needs and is in talks to purchase new A-29 Super Tucano close-air-support aircraft.
