F-16C single player precision strike mission in Syria.  DCS 2.7

OPERATION MOROS

Intelligence reports that a very senior figure in the Syrian command structure will be visiting the notorious Sednaya Prison north of Damascus this evening.  Reliable sources confirm this high value target (HVT)  is scheduled to visit the guard barracks between 1700 and 1800 local time.

Although there are three guard barracks buildings they are co-located and a strike of sufficient size should eliminate all three buildings.  Air defenses at the prison are modest short-range systems but overall the Syrian Air Defense network is formidible.

File updated 5/22/21 to remove Hercules mod requirement.  Sorry about that!

Intelligence assesses Syrian forces as unprepared for an attack.  The Syrian Air Force is not capable of presenting a signficant challenge but the high rank of this HVT may warrant some kind of air cover.

MISSION:

Chevy flight will conduct a precision strike no later than 1800 hours (local) in order to destroy three target barracks at Sednaya Prison and kill an HVT.

The route to and from the target is carefully crafted to avoid known air defense threats.  Deviate from the route at your own risk.

Dodge flight will perform a diversionary strike against air defense targets to the south.  This is expected to draw the attention of the Syrian Air Defense network and allow Chevy flight to infiltrate central Syria with cover from the Anti-Lebanon Mountains.

After Chevy flight attacks it is likely that Syrian defenses will be on high alert.  Expect the return trip to be more challenging than the flight to the target.
