AV-8b Harrier ZD351 based at Cottesmore 2010 Special Edition
In 2010 all Harriers in the British armed forces were retired. Some would say to early. To mark this occasion and its service one Harrier, ZD351 was given special markings from 800 Naval Air Squadron. The tail was painted in red with gold crossed swords and a trident. On the rudder were listed all the battle honours of the squadron and the dates 1980 -2010 ROYAL NAVY. Small squadron marking were painted on to the fairings before the front nozzles.
ZD351 was one of four Harriers painted in a special scheme. The others were ZG477 in 1(F) Squadron colours, ZG858 4(F) Squadron and ZG506 in a retro camouflage scheme
