Gordan Stevanovi's early service years in the 80s were rife with conflict, having fought against Yuktobania during the Kalugan Conflict and in Romny's Civil War as a
freelance mercenary. In 1990 Stevanovi and several others fr om his former Squadron would register with a Kalugan based private military firm (Plava legija), spending most of 1991 and 1992 providing aerial security for oil shipment around the Gulf of Tamudia during the period of regional instability following the conflicts in the Sotoa nations. In February of 1995, Stevanovi and others fr om his company were contracted out to the Ustian Government to help bolster their Air Force following a series of skirmishes along their border with Belka. At the commencement of hostilities in March Cpt. Stevanovi with his wingman Lt. Vladić was assigned to the 13th Air Force Unit, providing crucial support during the opening weeks of the war conducting precision strikes on bridges, supply line, command and control centers, and any other targets to help slow the Belkan Army's advance. Wherever Precision ground strikes are needed the Kalugan mercs could be found from the retaking of the Futuro Canal to the Allied assault into southern Belka. Stevanovi would maintain good relations with the other Mercenaries at Valais Air Base, often joining in any games or events the teams did during any downtime. However, due to his past experiences, he would not show the same courtesy to any of the Yuktobanian Mercs on base, usually getting in arguments or nearly trading blows with them. On May 28th, 1995 Viper team joined the rest of the 6th Air Division in reinforcing Allied forced during Operation Battle-Axe over the B7R airspace. During the engagement, Stevanovi was hit by an enemy missile and forced to bail out. He ejected safely but broke his ankle on landing, fortunately, he was found and assisted by a friendly Sapin Air Force pilot who had also been shot down during the battle. The two were able to make it to safety and were rescued a few days later. With no chance of flying anytime soon with his foot injury and the ceasefire following Belka nuking itself, Stevanovi's contract was terminated early by medical discharge. He would return to Kaluga to heal his wounds and wait for the next contract from his company, eventually going on to participate in both the Usean coup d'état in 1997 and the Continental War in 2004.

Age: 37

Nationality: Kaluga
Status: MIA (06/20/1995)

Starting his military service in the Kalugan Air Defence Force, Vladić would receive his baptism by fire during the Kalugan Conflict in the early 1980s when Yuktobania declared war on Kaluga over a long-standing border dispute. The Kalugan conflict would take a heavy toll on both sides resulting in the survivors of that war being either very skilled or very lucky. After Yuktobania's victory, the peace treaty that followed required The Kalugan Military to partially demobilize and disarm, resulting in Vladić and many other pilots te be discharge. Later that decade when Civil War erupted in the neighboring country of Romny and Yuktobania showed interest in intervening on the governmental loyalist's side, Vladić along with many other veterans would side with the rebel forces to get some payback on Yuktobania for their prior defeat. After the Civil War ended Vladić returned to Kaluga later Signing up with a private military firm (Plava legija) in 1992, spending his first few years conducting uneventful security patrols over the Gulf of Tamudia for an Osean based oil company. In early 1995 Vladić and several others from his group were contracted out to The Ustian Air Force, a few weeks later The Belkan War would kick-off. Vladić was assigned along with his flight lead the 13th AFU wh ere he would earn his keep taking out strategic ground targets during the opening weeks of the war and drawing on his prior combat experience to earn in a respectable number of kills by the time Ustio liberated. On May 28th, 1995 Vladić would part participate in the large-scale air battle over B7R and survived it intact although his flight lead Cpt. Gordan Stevanovi was shot down and taken out of action. With no wingman, he was reassigned to work alongside the 20th Air Force Unit under Cpt. Harald Eikeli who also lost one of their pilots over B7R. Vladić would continue to carry out his assignments until Jun 20th, 1995 when he was tasked along with the 20th AFU to the Jupiter Strike Team during Operation Broom when his aircraft was hit by an air-to-air missile. Vladić was forced to eject just off Anfang's coastline, even though he was sighted making it out of his fighter okay rescue teams could not locate him or any signs of his chute floating on the waves. By July that year, he was labeled as Missing in action with his disappearance officially reported as going missing during a lone patrol over the great lakes possibly due to a mechanical issue as a cover-up for unofficial post-cease-fire operation. In 2005 a local in Anfang discovered a stash of equipment in a wooded area near the beach with UAF marking on them and items labeled with Vladić name leading to many questions of what actually happened to Kalugan merc.
