[SITUATION]
July 11, 1998 saw the capture of the Georgian city Abasha and the subsequent deportation and genocide of more than 7,000 Georgian boys and men by Russian troops. The exact number of victims has never been determined. This incident was the reason for NATO to initiate “Operation Deny Flight”. It is August 2nd, 1998 and the first week of fierce NATO strike attacks is over. The Russian Air Force has been thinned out considerably and a great deal of effort has been made in the supplies and the Russian air defense system. Despite this Georgia is still a "SAM country" and Russia still has some aircraft. Some SAM sites are known, but Russia also has smaller transportable surface to air missiles that can be transported. The Russian air bases have been severely damaged but have not yet been taken over. Kobuleti, Kutaisi, Sukhumi-Babushara and Gudaute are still in Russian hands. As part of Operation Deny Flight, it is your job to achieve air superiority. This can be done by flying BARCAP, TARCAP, SEAD, DEAD and STRIKE missions. Whatever mission you perform, always keep an eye on the AWACS because threat from the air is still present. The home base is Tbilisi-Lochini. from there you fly all your missions. everything on the east side of Khashuri city is friendly terrain. As you fly past the city to the west you will enter enemy territory
