Updated (Apr 22): updated for 2.7 and additional changes (see comments).
On April 8, 2015, 2 C/F-18s along with 8 allied aircraft were tasked with bombing an ISIL garrison near the city of Raqqa, the self-declared capital of ISIL.
The strike was a success and no allied losses were reported.
Playtime: 1 hr.
Note: This recreation is pretty loose as detailed info is limited. It was a precision guided strike but I had to guess at pretty much everything else. I added the Tomahawks because an Arleigh Burke class ship was listed as one of the participants.
Bomb the ISIL garrison using precision-guided munitions: 3 x GBU-16 with the ATFLIR Pod. You've got a lot of fuel but just in case, there is tanking available on your way back.
x 3 buildings - workshop with smokestacks (WP 5), TV tower, and the long farm building (see photo and kneeboard).
The US fleet will launch x8 Tomahawks at the garrison to coincide with your strike. As well, 4 US F-18s will participate in the strike, supported by AWACs and refuelling aircraft.
Allied flights include:
x 4 US F-18s: Ground Attack
x 2 F-14Bs: CAP flight
x 1 E-3A: AWACS
x 1 KC-130: Tanker - running a long route E-W near WP 8
Although we don't have specifics, the garrison will likely be defended by AAA and MANPADs.
