In 1994, the death of the Sultan of Oman initiated a month long coup. With the help of a US Marine Expeditionary Brigade the Royal Army of Oman defeated the rebels. In the wake of the MEB's withdrawl, the US government is planning to send an Army division to provide continuing, long term security in the country. In the midst of this handoff a nearby Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard the LHA Tarawa will provide a temporary stop gap force in the northwest of Oman where a brutal insurgency against the new Sultan is forming.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
-This is my first try at a Huey campaign. A warning to those who crave constant action, this campaign may not be for you. I tried to simulate more of the 'tedium' of a utility helo's role in an environment like this. There is LOTS of flying with moments of action but consider this a good all around campaign to just enjoy flying the Huey. Please feel free to comment and provide suggestions but do realize I make these campaigns on an amateur basis with the small amount of free time I have so they are by no means perfect.
-There are 8 missions *so far*.
-Each mission is right around an hour of flying to complete.
-I tried to make the objectives fairly clear and simple, a reasonably competent Huey driver should be able to complete the missions relatively easily.
-Stick to the loadouts and flightplans otherwise missions are easy to break.
