Fictionalized livery depicting Biggs Darklighter's X-Wing at the Battle of Yavin
This skin is inpired by SWE-Timberwolf's Star Wars-themed skins for several different modules for DCS, and actually uses a couple of items from the set, mainly the LUA file, bort numbers, and the initial pilot suit skin, which was modified by me to have the white flak jacket. This project was an experiment to see how close I could replicate the livery seen on the original ILM studio models made for the original Star Wars film that was released in 1977. Biggs Darklighter flies something of a unique fighter, and as I start to work on Red's 4, 5 and 6 the color schemes will start to get more extreme on the liveries, matching the models. To make the different colors on this model work, I tried darkening the base color and the colored panels as well, hopefully they jive in a way. I actually really like how this one turned out, and I'm thinking of going back to darken the other ones I've done as well.
