On September 27, while patrolling the Arnhem area just after Operation Market Garden, 441 Squadron intercepted some 15 Fw-190s and Bf-109s. P/O Sid Bregman was credited with shooting down a Bf109 east of Arnhem while flying MJ627.<br />
