In early June of 1943, through aerial surveillance, it is believed that the Germans have constructed a new, large fighter plane factory as well as several weapons factories in Caen, France.  In addition to this, the Allies have evidence of other increased industrial growth in the town.  As part of Operation Pointblank, your job as squadron leader of the 375th, is to help escort on a bombing run to Caen, and follow them back home.  *** Utilizes WWII Assets Pack, simulated bombing to reduce frame rate issues, and bomber voice overs on Ch. B.  *** Copy mission file to your saved location and voice overs to (Drive)OpenBeta\Sounds\Effects.

Your group will begin the mission airborn following Combat Wing 22 (Call Sign Dodge), the left-rear wing of the entire combat box.  Group 2 will be on your starboard side following Combat Wing 7 (Call Sign Ford), and Group 3 will be in the center rear following Wing 13 (Call Sign Chevy).  All of your groups are to trail behind 8,000 ft. and 8,000 ft. above throughout the mission.  Your initial heading will be 152 degrees, SSE.   Use the finger-four group close formation.  Comms fr om Wing 22 will be on Channel B (140 MHz AM).  All other bomber chatter will be on Channel C (156 MHz AM).  Your group will be on Channel A (139 MHz AM), and Funtington AB will be on Channel D (119 MHz AM).  Adjust your heading and altitude accordingly (Wing 22 will advise on Ch. B).  After the bombs have dropped on Caen, the combat box will turn right to a heading of 203 degrees SSW and will continue turning right toward the coastal town of Brehal wh ere is it believed to have light AAA flak guns.  There may be enemy fighters on the islands of Guernsey and Jersey as well.  Continue following Wing 22 until they reach the coast of England.  Your are to RTB at Funtington AB to complete the mission.  ** Note: Flying with bombers may require a "zigzagging" technique due to their low airspeed.  Good Luck Pilots - ChuckIV
