In early January, 1940, as part of Germany's nightly bombing, or Blitz as it was called, the Luftwaffe was ordered to destroy shipping and ports all along the UK coast. Within the past few hours, there was a pre-dawn Blitz in Portsmouth completely levelling the port and numerous ships in the vicinity. The remaining Luftwaffe fighter planes that were ordered to mop up all remaining Royal Fleet vessels are still in the area and must be neutralized immediately.
Your task as Group Leader 1 of the 126th Squadron is to remove all hostile enemy fighters due South to SSE of Funtington AB. This is a coordinated effort among four different air bases all with their own AO's. Again, your responsibility is due south to SSE. Take off with your group at 08:30, head due south 180 degrees. Be mindful of the bulls calls coming in from Funtington AB. Comms for your group are on Channel A (124 MHz AM). Comms for Funtington are on Channel C (119 MHz AM). Comms for all other Spitfire group chatter is on Channel B (128 MHz AM). Once you have cleared out all hostiles in your AO, you may at your own digression assist others in their own area of ops. Good luck Pilots. ChuckIV
