Logbook detail for Brazil - Rank shoulder boards, rank names in portuguese, squadron names and patches for FAB units
Since we already have many aircraft in DCS which are operated by the Brazilian Air Force (I know, version/model differences, just let a guy enjoy this never seen before situation in the combat flight sim market, but I digress... ;) ), with some fantastic skins and many more on the way, I decided to add some detail to my country in the logbook, so...
Logbook detail for Brazil - Rank shoulder boards, correct rank names in portuguese, squadron names and patches for FAB units:
1o/3o GAv - Esquadrao Escorpiao (AT-29 Super Tucano)
2o/3o GAv - Esquadrao Grifo (AT-29 Super Tucano)
3o/3o GAv - Esquadrao Flecha (AT-29 Super Tucano)
1o/4o GAv - Esquadrao Pacau (F-5EM)
2o/5o GAv - Esquadrao Joker (F-5EM)
2o/8o GAv - Esquadrao Poti (AH-2 [Mi-25 Hind Export version])
1o/10o GAv - Esquadrao Poker (F-5EM)
2o/10o GAv - Esquadrao Pelicano (UH-1H SAR Sqdn.)
2o/10o GAv - Esquadrao Centauro (Embraer/Aermacchi A-1A -OR- A-10C fictional if someone bothers to make a skin ;))
1o/14o GAv - Esquadrao Pampa (F-5EM)
1o/1o GAvC - Esquadrao Jambock (F-5EM)
2o/1o GAvC - Esquadrao Pif-Paf (F-5EM)
1o GDA - Esquadrao Jaguar (Mirage III. Mirage 2000C and currently F5-EM)
EDA - Esquadrilha da Fumaca (AT-29 Super Tucano - Aerobatic Demonstration Unit)
I also changed Brazil`s position in the country list, so it appears alongside with other countries with detailed Logbook info on the top of the list, if you open your logbook and your country is messed up, don't panic, just select your country again.
Just unzip and copy MissionEditor and Scripts folders over your own (backup first!). JSGME compatible. Just unzip and drop Logbook FAB folder on your JSGME Mods folder. Works on 1.5 and 2.1.
* Issues (that I know of):
Currently using USA medals as place holders, I have to study FAB decoration system in more depth (any tips welcome)
Let me know if you find something else.
* Planned Upgrades:
Brazilian Navy ranks and squadrons - Because we have a nice community A-4 Skyhawk in the works (I know, versions and models, let me be... ) and a fictional F/A-18 would be great... ;)
Hope you enjoy!
