The skinpack was inspired on my visit, in early 2015, to the National Militairy Museum at former Soesterberg Airbase.

Tactical Fighter Squadron (1954-1994)
As a result of the cold war and the threat from the then USSR, it was decided to strengthen air power in Central Europe.
Along with other military measures, it was decided that the Royal Netherlands air force would be strengthened with an American air force Squadron to its NATO obligations.
On 1 november 1954 landed the first u.s. military unit, an F-86F Sabre, for that purpose on Soesterberg air base.
On 16 november 1954 the 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron "The Wolfhounds" was officially installed on the Soesterberg air base.
