WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?
1. Improved ADI
The DCS F-86F's attitude indicator instrument, as-modeled, is a piece of junk. Its already upside down and backwards... on top of that, it's a black ball with little white tick marks and I find myself studying it far too long to figure anything out whilst flying IFR conditions/night etc, making life kind of un-fun in the Saber.
As such, I've... made it look more or less like a normal ADI does, and it also illuminates at night to clearly depict sky vs. ground sides of the ball like it would during the day.
With this, the hope is that you can keep a better eye on your attitude out of your periphery while flying the plane and keeping your sight line on the target, not the instrument panel/imminent death.
IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY GROUND/SKY COLORS ARE INVERTED ON THE F-86'S ADI BALL, YOU FAILED TO RTFM, PLEASE RTFM FOR THE SABER. THX
2. Radio/ADF CHannels List in-cockpit
I've added a Black Sea Region radio/ADF frequency & channel list to the right side of the canopy frame just above the radio console, and an NTTR ATC channel list to your left. Pretty much all there is to it, perhaps a little bit quicker and easier than flipping open your kneeboard.
3. METRIC AIRSPEED FACE
For those of you who want to fly with KPH airspeed readout on your dash, per user request. All other instruments remain the same; there's simply no way to convert a US Standard altimeter to read in meters/KM, period, sorry guys.
I've been banned from DCS Forums; if you find any errors in this mod, have an issue,
a question, want something added, or need a hug & a kiss, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
