Established in 1940 during the ramp up of hostilities on the Osean Continent, the Warhawks have been a constant defender of the country for over eighty-five years. First flying the homonymous P-40, and later the P-47 and P-51, they would enter the Jet Age in the F-86, and later the F-106 in the role of a fighter interceptor. In the 1970s, the squadron would adopt the lighter Mirage F1, before transitioning to the Mirage 2000C in 1990.
The unit would serve in the Belkan War of 1995, scoring a dozen kills in contested airspace such as Area B7R, and then would see a deployment to southern Verusea in the Circum-Pacific war of 2010. In 2019, the Squadron would be thrown into the opening hours of the war, flying inland CAP against Erusean drone fighters during the Lighthouse War.
