This is a modification that alters values of shadow cascade(s) for better performance.

In practice, what happens when using this mod is the terrain shadows (outside-cockpit) being drawn as far as before, but with overall performance improved with quite small visual difference trade-off. The other benefit is that, at the same time, the inside-cockpit shadows maintain high quality in all settings (4096x4096 pixels shadow, though even that can be changed if really desired).

This mod works with DCS World 2.5.6, from version 2.5.6.50321 up to 2.5.6.61527.3 (the final release of 2.5.6, before 2.7).

This is a modification to slightly improve performance with little to none image quality loss, and no issues with slow loading of missions.
It works with regular screen monitors, and also with VR.

This mod is also IC compliant for Multiplayer (no issues whatsoever in Online MP, if using DCS 2.5.6).

PLEASE NOTE: this mod will NOT work with the newer versions of DCS (2.7, 2.8 or 2.9).

NOTE: I do not recommend to use this mod with newest DCS 2.8 and 2.9 versions, as it can mess with certain graphical aspects.

This mod was made for DCS 2.7, and compatible with version 2.7.11.21408.1 (17th March 2022).
