DDG-100 was named after U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Isaac C. Kidd, Sr. He received the posthumous award of the Medal of Honor for his valiant service on the bridge of the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor.
The USS Kidd is the only U.S. Navy ship authorized to fly the Jolly Roger flag on a permanent basis in honor of Rear Admiral Kidd, Sr.
Navy crewmen refer to the USS Kidd as the "Pirates of the Pacific".
I was unable to create the enormous Jolly Roger flag flying with Old Glory, so I simulated draping it over each side. I was able to accurately depict the Mk-48 weapon system decal. Enjoy!
