Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 31 (VX-31 or AIRTEVRON THREE ONE, commonly referred to by its nickname, "The Dust Devils" ) is a United States Navy air test and evaluation squadron based at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, California. Using the tail code DD, they fly numerous United States Navy and United States Marine Corps fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

The unit patch is seen in Top Gun: Maverick.

This is VX-31 Dust Devils livery pack for the CJS Super Hornet Mod by Chiller Juice Studios. The pack contains liveries from 2006-2024 period. One for the Echo and the Growler and three for the Foxtrot model. Custom helmets and patches also included.

Used Bill's template for the more dirtier and worn versions.

In 1996, the transfer of NAS Miramar to the U.S. Marine Corps was coupled with the incorporation of Top Gun into the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center (NSAWC) at NAS Fallon, Nevada. In 2016, NSAWC was rebranded as the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC), where Top Gun remains a department alongside graduate-level weapons schools for other naval aviation platforms.

This pack contains NAWDC & NSAWC liveries for the Super Hornet Mod by Chiller Juice Studios.
Optional additional helmets for the NSAWC livery.

One for the Echo and two liveries for the Foxtrot.
Install to your "saved games": Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\ folder.

F/A-18E Jolly Rogers 2023 Echo livery for the Super Hornet Mod by Chiller Juice Studios. Instead of the usual Foxtrot fleet, Echo model is occasionally used for pilots to help get some flight hours during their rotation.

Credits for the helmet goes to Benny and Bill for the weathering template.

VX-9 Vampires Foxtrot and Growler 2023-present day liveries for the Super Hornet Mod by Chiller Juice Studios.

Includes custom helmets and flight suits.

You have to set BORT and BuNo numbers in the mission editor. Just set desired tail # and aircraft identification type to "USN STANDARD" in mission editor. Instruction picture included in the screenshots. You can change the pilot suit between tan and olive by renaming the pilot_cjs or by editing the .lua file if you know how to do it.

Made with paintkit by Bill and ienatom. Bill's roughmets are included too.
