This mission "Traffic Police" is the number 3 of "Operation Fugu" campaign inspired by the "Operation Diodon" mission during the Lebanon war from 1982 to 1984.
The Multinational Security Force in Lebanon was created in September 1982 at the Lebanese request to the Secretary General of the United Nations and dissolved in March 1984 following the double attack against the French and American contingents.
Assignment:help the Lebanese army restore the authority of its government in and around Beirut. Ensuring the safety of civilian populations.
Four countries made up this multinational force: the United States, France, Italy and the United Kingdom. A strong naval presence ensuring their support off Lebanon.
The war is complex, marked by rifts between religious communities, militias, phalanxes, traffickers, and by foreign interventions (Syria, Arab League, Israel, Iran, etc...).
This Campaign is part of this context of both "neither war nor peace" with a wide variety of helicopter mission
After the patrol around Mount Lebanon with the army, today you (uzi Free) will intervene in support with the Lebanese police. Intelligence reports indicate that arms deliveries are underway with the aim of reactivating the Phalangist militias against the Syrian paramilitary groups. The country's ports will be subject to special surveillance to intercept these arms deliveries.
Gendarmerie elite commandos help local police forces for their interventions. Today it is planned to intercept trucks coming fr om the ports in order to check their cargo.
The 8 intervention commandos assigned to your helicopter are currently helping an operation on the port of Tripoli to intercept and control suspicious trucks coming from the port of Tripoli.
You are going to take off from the Chekka base to intervene in an ongoing operation in the city of Tripoli. Your group has just asked you to fly over the port of Tripoli to locate a suspected arms delivery truck. The control of the vehicle is planned south of the city, an intervention unit is posted near a factory next to the highway. Follow the instructions which will be given to you to locate this truck, to follow it, then to supervise its arrest, at the end of this intervention you will have to land to recover your group of commandos.
After recovering this elite intervention group, other operations will be required of you to control truck shipments.
The mission is successful if your helicopter returns to the parking lot of the base after 3 truck control operations from ports.
1st operation: locate the factory wh ere the Lebanese police are located, then monitor a suspected truck at the port of Tripoli, follow it and then monitor its interception by the police. Then land in the courtyard of the factory, recover your group of commandos and take off.
2nd operation: locate a suspicious truck in a small port at the foot of the Chekka cliff, intercept it when it is on the highway, land at the Chekka pass then intervention of your commandos to check the cargo.
3rd operation: Help the Lebanese military police to control a group of trucks at a surprise checkpoint organized in the city of "Jbayl". Drop the commandos on site and stay on the ground, and fire support intervention if necessary.
You will fly "solo" for this police operation along the coastal highway.
The mission is successful if your helicopter returns from mission safe and sound to the parking 3 of the base.
3 control operations will take place during this flight, allow approximately 1 hour 30 minutes of mission. Combat in this mission !
A SU 25 T is on a parking so you can load this mission and fly with an another helicopter !
