This livery for Heatblur's Forrestal depicts the (Fictional) Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales R03, the final of three licensed-built Forrestal class carriers, first entering service in 1970. These were the product of a US/British cooperation in the late 60s to restore big-deck carrier capability for the Royal Navy. This livery depicts her as she was during her 1978 Mediterranean cruise during Exercise Winged Angel with one other British carrier, two American carriers, and an Italian carrier. She would go on to not serve in the Falklands War, instead, she was tasked with maintaining peace and covering for the carriers that were sent to the South Atlantic, and later she would serve in the Gulf War, alongside her sister ships. Prince of Wales would be decommissioned in the December of 2022, after 50 years of service.
