Ounce again, we have factories violating a world agreement to not produce chemical weapons. This time, the red line has been crossed and action is being taken.
Seven B52 bombers will be carpet bombing the facilities on the outside of town. Your mission ("Linebacker") is two fold. To avoid collateral damage, while you're there, you will drop a single conventional MK-84 iron onto the main violating factory in the middle of the city. Then you will defend the bomber group from incoming air defense as they flee the target site. The enemy will be to late to stop the bombing. But they will catch you, and the bomber group, before the bombers get back out to sea.
Your call sign is Backer 1 and you will be flying with Backer 2 and Backer 3. The bomber group's call sign is "The Team".
This mission is more towards and intermediate player because you will take off and land on the Stennis, and you will have to defend against several Migs (set on random skill levels) all at the same time. It will be three of you against 10 Mig 29's. You can also increase the difficulty a little more, or to a lot more, if desired. Bridge command will be watching via radar and keep you apprised on your mission status.
Update 9-18-19 - "Defend" sound trigger activation only when red coalition is in new designated zone.
As a beginner, I'm disappointed with scripts that have too little instructions, and also get bored with pressing buttons and flying with little action. So I'm trying to make scripts that are self explanatory and not too technically complicated, for me anyway. Also, an orderly mission roll-out and confirmation of completion is rewarding because it provides "closure". As a new flier, my scripts are not militarily correct and not technically complicated. But, not always easy. I think their fun, and I hope you will too.
