Installation Instruction
We take installation of DCS World and DCS Combined Arms modules as example.
The first module to install is the core module – DCS World (Download page). After that we install other modules onto it (they find DCS World automatically).

* The module installation goes on its own as one procedure, like with any other software. Steps are provided to ease understanding.
Notice!
If there was installed another version of the module you install, it's obligatory to delete folder with old configuration data:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Saved Games\DCS
1. Preparation

We take DCS World for example. Its distributive consists of 4 files. All of them should be put in one folder. See the first illustration below.

Make sure all filenames are intact (installer is an application, it's the only executable file in the distributive). Filenames should match the original ones. You can see them on the Download page (eg of DCS World).
If installer says "Please insert Disk 1 and click OK." then one of the two items or both of them were not fulfilled.
If Windows hides file extensions for you and you receive an error above, it's advised to consider enabling displaying file extensions to be able to see full filenames and rename them then.
Click Next

Insure the DCS World installs into a right folder and click Next
It's an optional question. If you receive it, it's important to delete folder
displayed in the message manually prior to continuing with installation.
If some parts of previous installation are there, they may cause errors.
Insure the DCS World shortcuts go to a right Start Menu folder and click Next
Desktop shortcut is up to you, but the next two "additional" checkmarks are strongly advised
Click Next after making your choice
You may want to validate all chosen options
Click Next when your're certain
It will take several minutes to place all files of DCS World according installation options selected

3. DCS Combined Arms
We have DCS Combined Arms distributive downloaded from Downloads section and DCS World installed.
Run CA_1.2.0.63205.exe
Click Next
Make your choice with radio buttons and click Next
Installer detects where DCS World is installed
Click Next
Click Finish after making your choice
4. Validate installation success (optional)
